previous
webpage. So we will discuss your site
navigation and searh engine submission.
Easy
Site Navigation
How your
site navigation is set up will hep determine your page views as
visitors land on your website.
Keep it simple! I've
often fallen into the trap of building a site that was so
complicated I could hardly find my own way around. I've
made a concerted effort to rework the site navigation on all of
my sites to make them more user friendly.
The more complex your site
navigation is the harder it will be for your visitors to find
the information they are looking for. Providing your
visitors with internal links and a sitemap will go a long way
to giving them what they need.
You may also want to consider
adding a Site Search bar so your visitors can have ready access
to the information provided within your website.
Search
Engine Submission
You must submit your website to the various
search engines. This can be done in a variety
of ways that include things like adding a meta tag or
submitting a sitemap.
You do not have to pay to have someone do this for you, in
fact it is better if you do your site submissions
yourself. Submitting your site is a good way for you
to start to put the pieces together as you grow your skills as
a webmaster.
